Geri Farr Named CEO of NEXA Lending
Founder Mike Kortas moves fully into the executive partner role as NEXA's chief growth officer takes over as chief executive.

Geri Farr has been named chief executive officer of NEXA Lending. Founder Mike Kortas moves fully into the executive partner role, a position the company says he has held alongside his other responsibilities, allowing him to focus on product development, growth, and building opportunities for loan officers.
In its announcement, NEXA cited Farr’s leadership experience and ability to operate at scale as the basis for the appointment, and described the transition as a long-standing professional relationship between Farr and Kortas coming full circle. Farr previously served as NEXA’s chief growth officer, joining as part of the leadership expansion that followed the company’s October 2025 rebrand from NEXA Mortgage to NEXA Lending.
The transition was signaled in August
Kortas first indicated the change during an interview following NEXA’s acquisition of UMortgage in August 2026, saying Farr would take over as chief executive while he moved to executive partner — the same title held by Anthony Casa and Jason DuPont. He described the move as a step up rather than a step back, with executive partners advising the leadership team and guiding succession decisions.
A year of structural change
The appointment caps twelve months of significant change at NEXA: the rebrand to NEXA Lending in October 2025, a leadership expansion, the launch of evoLend, the settlement of the founders’ legal dispute, the UMortgage acquisition, and two compensation revisions effective September 1.
